|FIREWORKS, just a might early

Anybody who knows me, knows I'm very active with Colerain Township's Citizen Police Academy. Last night, July 4, I was working fireworks security on the rope line at the edge of the viewing area. The show was supposed to last about 30 minuets. However, after only about 15, the radio started getting really active saying show over, show over all crews to final positions. When it was over, i found out that the wind had shifted, and shells were bursting low, so the embers were still hot when they hit the ground. This inadvertently lit off the grand finally way to early. The ground had no idea, and didn't really seem to care. All they knew was it was big, bright and loud.|
Other wise, the day was fun and rather quiet on the police work end of things. They only odd part was when a woman who was beyond blasted, decided it was time to flash the 'crowd.' The crowd consisted of about three people who were in line to use the bathroom. Not that I complained, but it could have been better. She was especally pissed off when she was arrested for indecent exposure, and public intoxication.
I think it's beautiful that Americans celebrate their Independence Day by having picnics and blowing shit up. It's any piro's favorite holiday, which is why I like it so much. So as long as you don't get to drunk, keep your clothes on, and blow some shit up, it's a great holiday.
